Preservation box for glass negatives

A custom-made preservation box for the set of 15 glass negatives made in the beginning of the 20th century.

These fragile cultural heritage objects were wrapped in the envelopes of neutral pH barrier paper, put into plastic Melinex® bags with special fastening and laid down in the archive quality corrugated cardboard box with individual space for each piece. This preservation system should allow to reduce the risk of mechanical damage during the manipulation of these objects.

The set also includes a 20th century original cardboard box which has its own individual space inside the preservation box.
